I can’t see it. Most of my character’s equipment slots were empty at the end of the game. Legendary enemies who pretty much ignored the rules of the game. What happened to locked chests past the first part of the game? WTF is having people on watch for if they never see a group approaching the camp? Why did your group never see the enemy coming? You were always surprised. Little things that bothered me were camp ambushes. I think the combat was just too much the same thing over and over. I still had another 20 hours to go though. While I can’t point out any major flaws, by hour 20 I was a bit bored of it and was wanting to just finish it. I finished it, but I only liked it, I did not love it. Playing this game has made me a lot more excited for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous since it made me realize how much I enjoyed Pathfinder: Kingmaker, and for Baldur’s Gate 3 since I’m keen to see another implementation of 5th ed. Should be interesting to see what kinds of modules people will make for Solasta. This game reminded me of Neverwinter Nights and the campaign that came with the main game. ![]() Leveling up just wasn’t that exciting with few choices to make. But I missed all the options that a full set of 3.5/pathfinder feats provide. the spell slots for wizards rather than having to prepare Fireball x times. The tactical 5th ed combat was the main draw for me - as well as getting to know the 5th ed rules.įelt very streamlined. I guess that’s to be expected from a small studio. The beginning had more interesting locations, bosses you could either kill or talk to, and more interesting story. Towards the end, there was a lot of pointless environmental “puzzles”, levels with little content and uninteresting loot. The first half of the game felt more developed than the latter half. On the 7-9 scale, I’ll give the game an 8. ![]() Would probably have ended around 11,5 without the level cap. ![]() All hit lvl 10 a good while before the end, Party consisted of Paladin, Cleric, Ranger and Wizard. Just killed the last big bad and completed the game in 42 hours according to Steam.
